From this position, he leads the company\u2019s global operations and its strategic expansion into key markets across the region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prior to HASTA, he was Managing Director at <\/span><b>Greystar Real Estate Partners<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Latin America, where he oversaw the Investment, Development, and Property Management divisions. During his tenure, he led the investment of a <\/span><b>$250 million fund<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the operation of more than <\/span><b>2,000 residential units<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Mexico.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He began his career as a structural engineer in New York after graduating <\/span><b>Magna Cum Laude<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in Civil Engineering from <\/span><b>The Cooper Union<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. He later earned an <\/span><b>MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rodrigo serves as President of the <\/span><b>Rental Housing Association (AVER)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, is a member of the <\/span><b>National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the United States, and is part of the <\/span><b>Young Presidents\u2019 Organization (YPO)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a member of the <\/span><b>Strategic Council of Grupo Apolo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, he actively contributes to the decisions that define the group\u2019s direction, bringing his global perspective and expertise in institutional real estate investment.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rodrigo Su\u00e1rez is the Global Chief Operating Officer and CEO for Latin America at HASTA Capital, a firm he co-founded and where he also serves on the Investment Committee.
